The Hotel Manager will be directly involved in ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of the retreat while maintaining our high standards of comfort and guest satisfaction.

General Terms and Conditions:
Salary Package: $65,000.00 + Super*
Type: Full-Time
Probation Period: 3 Months
Term: 2 Years
Start Date: 11 November 2024
* Candidate Flexibility:
- Salary is negotiable depending on experience and circumstances.
- Accommodation can be provided but not included in the Salary Package and can be negotiated.
- Given the nature of the business flexible work hours are required and weekend work.
- If you are a couple we are happy to look at a job sharing arrangement and Salary commensurate with this.
- The Hotel will be closed for Renovation until the 1 December / Bookings Start.
- The role would start approximately 3 weeks before to allow the Manager to settle in and manage the systems.

The Hotel is located in Augusta a Seaside Town in Western Australia.
Can you provide details of your experience in a similar / remote setting?
The busiest months are December to March. During this time, we expect to assist the Manager with additional housekeeping support.
What’s your experience with organising a small team in a relevant setting?
The role will require multi-tasking; from taking bookings, showing guests their rooms and housekeeping. All of which will require seamless
operation. We require a candidate to be honest with their application in regard to understanding the multi-faceted role and the need to ensure housekeeping is 5 star.
Please provide an example of a day when things didn’t go smoothly. What didn’t happened that should of, how you managed this and what was the outcomes?
The new owners are wanting to change the business strategy and customer base. The Owners will be hands off but assisting with broader communication strategies. Ideally the Hotel Manager during this phase can assist with recommendations, social media, liaison with local tour operators and food outlets.

The Hotel has a large open plan kitchen, dining and outdoor area. The new owners are wanting to investigate new opportunities to provide Food and Wine Experiences and Tour Packages.
Please provide any examples that relate to these circumstances.
Many of the current Bookings are coming from online Booking services such as Booking.com and Agoda. The Hotel Booking System uses Little Hotelier.
Please provide your experience setting up such as Booking System.
Working in a remote area can be isolating with limited options for entertainment. Having hobbies and interests that can be undertaken in the regional area helps with the overall fulfilment of the role.
